Mourning With Doug Pagitt, Or Setting Aside Party Lines

I haven’t posted on Fridays, not since the early days (as in this summer), but I just read that Doug Pagitt, a well-known pastor and author in the emerging church movement, lost his mother today.

No matter where you fall on the spectrum of Christianity, no matter if you’re strongly opposed to the progressive Christians out to muddy the theological waters and disrupt everything so many Christians have worked for – join me in sitting alongside Doug in his huge loss and immeasurable grief.

May we all forget our party lines and dividing points and lift up Doug as a brother.

When one grieves, we all do.
